Hello,

this ~10mm fly tried to fly onto my skin rather agressively, so I thought it was a tabanid and hit it.

Now I see it isn't. My guess would be an Atherix species. Is this correct? Can something be said about the species?

The photo was taken in july in the austrian alps.
