Hello

Is this fly belongs to Tachinidae? Genus/species is possible? Sorry, but this one is the only picture.
Locality: NW-Hungary, in april.

Thanks in advance.

With this wing venation and almost touching eyes it is unlikely to be a Tachinid. I think some kind of Muscid fly, which I do not recognize.

Definitely not a tachinid

This is a male Hydrotaea of dentipes group, Muscidae.

Hmmm, nice puzzle :) I think that maybe fore tibia (I see some notch in the middle) and femur looks like Hydrotaea, but I did not see Hydrotaea with such abdomen.

It is for sure Hydrotaea, maybe H. similis (the ventral hairs on mid femur seems not enough long for H. dentipes).
