I notice several times G.maculata on dead animals.
It is not the type of fly i expect to see..?
And what do I see between the legs....the probiscis..??

1. I have also found Graphomya maculata on decomposed carrion also in some articles (I do not remember titles now) I have read about G. maculata recorded from bodies, but it was only single or only few specimens. Probably decomposing carrion is very good source of proteins also for Graphomya.
2. It is real, nice, grey proboscis :D and hairy lebellum below :D

Indeed, there where always one or two, not more.
I wil observe next time if they are mostly female (proteins = more and bigger eggs...:D)
