Hi, this 2-3 mm long fly was feeding on tree exudate of Platanus. Head has a nice orange stripe. Found in E-Hungary, June.

BTW, Aulacigastridae have been quite recently (some 10-15 years ago) revised by Laszlo Papp.

Yes, Laszlo Papp revised the Palaearctic species of Aulacigster in 1998 [1997]. Later (2001) Christian Kassebeer described an additional species in this genus.

Kassebeer, C., 2001. Die einheimische Arten der Gattung Aulacigaster Macquart, 1835 (Dipterqa, Aulacigastridae).-- Dipteron 4(1): 23-32.
Papp, L., 1998 [1997]. The Palaearctic species of Aulacigaster Macquart (Diptera: Aulacigastridae).-- Acta Zoologica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae 43(3): 225-234.
