Hi
Is it a chrysomya? If so, what species.
About 10mm long, pictured in Tanzania.

A view of its genitalia (I think). Why is it extended like that?

It looks very much like Chrysomyia, but we would need to have a closeup of the wing base to be more sure, as Nikita has warned us for the Afrotropical fauna.

I will see if I have any pics of that. What about the 2nd picture. Why is it extended?
Thanks

In case of white anterior spiracle (and everything else fit too OK) Dr. Rognes gave ID as Chrysomya cf. albipes :D

I see. Thanks
One more question ;), the fly was extending the oviposter and then taking it back in. Why?
