Hi
Can anybody please ID? It was smaller than a housefly, around 6-7mm long. Pictured in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

No, Muscidae, genus
Stomoxys, species level impossible by this photo

Regarding very wide frons and abdominal patterns it is cosmopolitan
