As it is from catalonian pyrenees and wings differs i think it is not stercoraria... About 2.000 mts or more. July 08

Then I'll try: I think this is a typical S. stercoraria male. Don't know anything other, which looks like it.

I would agree with stercoraria. The males vary in their size and hairyness - this looks like a big one - very butch!
The wings appear to have some markings, but I think this is just shadows.

I just took this photo. May be you´re right and marks are shadows... Next year i will go back!
