Hello,

this fly is from July from Austria; estimated size 8mm.

What fly is this? My guess would be genus Dilophus (Bibionidae). Is it possible to say something about the species?

Thanks,
Michael

Dilophus female is right and it is not the most common species febrilis...

I'm afraid that is where it ends (unless you collected the specimen).
