A silly question: will there be variations in compound eye colour (e.g. red and green) for the same species of dolichopodid?

Sybistroma?

And I think most differences will be due to lighting.

Thanks Paul again...
May I ask what's the key morphological difference between Chrysosoma and Sybistroma?

Sybistroma belongs to Dolichopodinae. Chrysosoma belongs to Sciapodinae. It is a Sciopodine sp. and could be Chrysosoma or Plagiozopelma.
