Hi
I had spotted this fly in Silgueiros - Viseu on 25th August 2007... I think it could be a Spallanzania sp. No specimen collected.

Again Pseudogonia rufifrons, have a look at the dark basicosta in the first pic.Moreover, the parafacialia are relatievely narrow and the frontal stripe is red (rufifrons !) not black as in Spallanzania. Thanks for the help, this I can remember next time !!

Well, Spallanzania is not an error, just a near-miss.
