Hi! Is this Tipula ID-able? I found a male and female near a brook. First pic is the female:

Which time of the year? From the abdomen colouring it reminds me of
Tipula lateralis, an early spring species (at least here in northwest Germany). But I am no expert.

Hi, well, it was photographed on 28th of August, in N-E Hungary, Miskolc, by a small brook flowing in the city. Not in spring... Thanks for the suggestion, it does looks like that species...

Juergen is right. The thin dark line running down the top of the thorax from just behind the head is typical for the subgenus to which
Tipula lateralis belongs. The colouration of the abdomen and the wing pattern both suggest T. lateralis.
