It is an anthomyiid, but no diagnostic characters visible. If the scutellum has setulae on disc, and calypters are large it is probably a Hydrophoria, if the scutellum is mainly bare on disc, and the calypters are smaller, it is a Hylemya. Both these genera have plumose arista, but this is unfortunately also not visible.

unfortunately the scutelum and calypters are out of focus ...
the only thing showable i have is the arista which seem to be plumose to me ...

Michael, it seems to me that Hydrophoria is spring-summer genus, in November Hylemya is much more probable, doesn't it?

There may be something in what you say, Nikita. I have extracted from my database the earliest and latest dates for Hydrophoria lancifer, and Hylemya vagans. lancifer 17 April to 25 Aug (n=14); vagans 10 April to 10 Oct (n=24 record). This is based on very few records!
The photo just looks more like lancifer to me, darker with darker stripes on scutum, also legs darker. But don't take that as a definite id
By the way, I hope you are putting some Thai anthos in alcohol, as there are hardly any records of that family from the area; there should be more than 20 species there. Vodka is OK for a short time!

Dear Michael, Thai Anthomyiidae aren't a matter of Vodka, but a matter of locality - I was in Central Thailand and this year no Anthomyiid at all, last years A.illocata only and uncommon.
I suppose we need North-West of Thailand with high mountains to collect more Anthomyiid.
