Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Muscidae / Anthomyiidae? (with prey?)

Can any kind of ID be made? Prey looks like a Chironomidae or something like that.
29 June 2008 in a forest area (Helsingborg, Sweden)

I think this is an Anthomyiid and the "prey" is none (only accidentally there and dead...).

Hi Juergen,

It could be an Anthomyiidae, now that you mention it. The "prey" must have confused me :). Still, the fly has one foot on it but that could be to just move it aside.
