1 august 2008, The Netherlands, Kiersche Wiede.
In wet habitat.

L. lutea or bifurca? And what features do we need to see for an id?

With best regards,

Klaas

Looks like Lonchoptera lutea to me. The male genitalia of L. bifurcata look totally different. Furthermore the males of L. bifurcata are not often found (which is a non-argument I admit). As far as I know no males of L. bifurcata have been found in The Netherlands yet.

Thank you Jan Willem,
I did not know that.

I have a picture which gives a closer look on genitalia,

Best regards,
