Flies can eat even a phallus. Do you mean if it is a normal solution in the chemical sense? Or in the sexopathological sense? B)

I'd say, it is common for muscid adult females to eat various fungi, including Phallus impudicus as an additional source of proteins for oviposition. As I recall, Valentina Ivanovna Sychevskaya wrote about that. However, U must check if there are records of eating Acaricales by adult flies.
