Thread subject: Diptera.info :: a green fly--->Neomyia sp (Muscidae)

not a good picture of this fly and it's the only one i have ...

2007 july 25th.

Loire-atlantique, western France, on senecio sp.

is the family name available from this picture ?

Neomyia (cornicina? I think it has 3 post dc) Muscidae.

Thank you Susan !! it's the first time i shoot a green fly which is not a Lucilia sp !! :)

unfortunately it is not a good picture but i send now a close up to see if it might help about the " 3 post dc" ...

The question is does it have 3 post dc, in which case it is cornicina, or does it have 4, in which case it is viridescens. Still can't quite make up my mind with this picture.
