Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachinidae (Nowickia ferox female)

I thought this was a female of Nowickia, but is it possible with the first tarsal segment not all black ?

I'm not sure how much variation they have but Nowickia would be my best guess too :)

It is a female Nowickia ferox.
What you see as 'not black' might be a bristle out of focus.

Well-spotted Theo - it looks actually like a piece of straw/grass crossing the picture and making the basitarsus look pale :)
