Took some pictures of this fly today in my garden(Cyprus).
The size of the fly maybe around 1cm or less.

Sure, it is less than 1cm, about 6-7mm.
It is Anthomyiidae. Looking at late (even in Cyprus) season, I guess it may be Delia platura - a most common Anthomyiidae, especialy in winter time. But nessesary characteres (hind tibial chaetotaxy) is not visible, alas...
