That's what you think,
but it is actually an aberrant Tachinidae: Catharosia.
IF you have more, please send a sample so I can get an ID on species level.

Sorry Theo, to date I have just the one, and Guido has preference for all the work he has done to date and there are no Catharosia on the list yet., Granted my list is about 3 packets of tubes out of date.

Maybe I can dig up one or more. I think I have seen them in the samples I sorted.

Using Tchorsnig's key I identified one specimen I dug up as
C. flavicornis. I expect there are more specimens.

Yes, but Tschorsnig's key is wrong, and that is why I wanted to see the specimen.
