Villanova Monteleone, Sardinia 18/05/2008 dimensions: around 13 /14 mm.
Possible T. magnicornis?

Looks like T. fera female to me
The females of fera / magnicornis are hardly separable, so go get the males !

Thanks Theo I have difficulty in determining the sex. Is it based on the size of the last article of tarsus?

In Tachina:
Males have very large genitalia, long claws to pulvilli and vertex narrow or broad
Females no genitalia exposed, short claws and vertex very broad.
