Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Unknown calyptrata: Lispocephala brachialis (S. Lebrun det.)

Anthomyiidae or Muscidae, I think.
Some days ago, in my garden (urban), Zaragoza, NE Spain, continental-mediterranean climate, 200 meters. It sizes more or less 6-7 mm. long.

I think it's Lispocephala brachialis, Muscidae.
It's very late to see this species now.

Stephane, I agree with your ID, but disagree that it is late.
In Turkey I collected L.brachialis in Dec and Febr.
In cold Moscow region, Lispocephala (not brachialis) is among the latest (Oct) and the earliest (March) flies.

OK, never seen here in autumn or winter, but I'm "young" in Muscidae. ;)
