And another one from today at a tree trunk... (northwest Germany). This one was about 6 mm.

I don't think fly is yellowish, but Anthomyiidae is correct

Thanks! I already had changed the subject from "yellowish brown". I just wanted to express that the grey of this fly does not tend to a darker or bluish grey like that of some other flies I photographed today. To the bare eye (without flash light) it was really more yellowish than visible on these pics.

Yes, you are most probably right. On first sight I saved them as different species, on second I thought they could perhaps be the same. Now on third glimpse (after posting the second fly...) I again think, they are different. B)

They are two diferent flies-note the different width of frontalia and parafrontalia, the latter much narrower in photo 2. Sorry I can't say what species
