Is this indeed Linnaemyia sp ?

Looks more like
Trixa conspersa though I'll leave Theo to confirm or deny that :) Note the shaded r-m vein, the wide abdomen, the small head and small antennae.

Chris, Trixa has the eyes bare. I'm afraid you are fooled by the angle of the picture, the antenna is not as short as you thought (though short).
This is the female of Ernestia rudis.

Ahh, my mistake - I was fooled by the shaded r-m too ... not a common feature but I have never caught
E.rudis so I don't have much experience of them :)
