Hello!

A 3.5 mm small fly from our house (northwest Germany) the night before yesterday. Male Anthomyiidae? Thanks in advance!

Male anthomyiid. I can't see any diagnostic characters, there are probably 40 species which look like this. Also unfortunately in Anthomyiidae the general appearance of a species will not tell you what genus it is, with perhaps only a few exceptions.

Thank you. I know of the problems of photo IDing, and try my best to take photos from several different views etc. But often it is simply not possible to take better pics :|, especially at night and when the fly sits at a place, where I cannot rest my camara arm on something for less waggle.
