This 4-5mm sized flies, where sunbathing on the bank of thel lake.
I thought it where anthomyiidae but the arista is plumosa.
IS it Muscidae?
Or what kind of fly is it?

Robert, plumose arista doesn't exclude Anthomyiidae. On the contrary, it helps to ID. Small Anthomyiid with very lond plumose arista - I think Hylemya partita

Good to know these, it felt much Anthomyiidae for me..
Hylemya partita isn't on the Dutch specieslist?

other Hylemya which occur in the Netherlands are:
1. Hylemya nigrimana (Meigen, 1826) [soort]
2. Hylemya urbica (Van der Wulp, 1896) [soort]
3. Hylemya vagans (Panzer, 1798) [soort]
4. Hylemya variata (Fallén, 1823) [soort]

Is there another Hylemya with these long plumose arista?

Or is it just a new specie for The Netherlands B)

Yes ;), I found it under the name Helemyza partita (there's one Helemyza sp. on the list and that's this one)

Is this Helemyza partita as well?

It was some mm longer and the colour of the thorax is different..

Simular is the long plumose arista.

I have watched a crop of the thorax and scutellum of this fly.
Trying to find some similarity with Anthomyiidae, but now I see that the little thin light hairs are not on the scutellum, but 'under' it.. Are the little black hairs on or next to the scutellum also characteristic for Anthomyiidae?

This looks like Anthomyiidae to me, but I am really not sure..
With these hudge plumose arista it could be Helemyza partita (according to Nikita) but what makes me unsure are:

- size of the fly > 5mm
- the frons of the fly is different (but it's a male so it could be different)
- the colouring of the thorax.
