Is an identification possible?
I faced a big problem when I pinned this fly. A leg came out when I inserted the pin through the fly :-s. This problem is one of the things that I most feared whenever I thought about pinning. Do you have any advice?

The scutellar bristles are strong and erect, the species is blackish and the eyes are bare, so it is a Lydella.
Difficult to say more, third antennal segment is rather long, suggesting thompsoni (easy to recognize by the form of the Sturmia-spot at ventral side).

Is the spot you talk about there? Where is it located?

Hard to see much on the underside on that photo ... the "Sturmia-spot" is a dense patch of short bristles on ends of tergites 4-5 on the ventral side.

The right spot is under the right hind tibia.

But you need to get more light at the top of your pics.

I?ll show you these four images but I'm having difficulties in seeing the "Sturmia-spot".
