Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Hippoboscidae, Lipoptena fortisetosa from Romania

Hi,

this fly were frequent here in Comana Natural Park.
is this Lipoptena cervi? or i'm far away?

several specimens collected, possible to ID from photo?

It is Liptoptena.
need to check whether cervi or fortisetosa

thanks for your help.
another new for Romania after FaunaEU. is is? or?
several specimens collected (~10) this days don't know if all the same species (you need some specimens?).

this is in a so bad shape because was on me, i was all sweaty just feel something crawling on me...
this where interesting for me because of the size, very small (~3mm).

this is not yet in the gallery, deserve this to go there?

Yes, fortisetosa is much smaller than cervi.

I caught them in Poland and Czech republic, it is an Asian species, so to be expected in Romania.
However, hardly anybody knows this species.
