looks like a small Dance fly - don't think it was more than 6mm
both near Rhododendron bushes, Richmond SW London

Two very different flies.
The first is an Hybos??
the second remember to me some anthomyzid fly...

Second fly looks like
Clusioides ruficollis
(clusiidae).
