Shot in Sierra Nevada, S Spain. 2000 masl. Quite large fly, aprox. 1.5 cm. 03-08-2008.

Physocephala laticincta - perhaps conspecific with P. rufipes.

Physocephala - very difficult, even with the specimen to hand - terrible from photos. However, from black ring on femora, I would guess P laticincta
