It would be nice if somebody could identify this one. It was shot on helicrysum flowers in spring in semiarid scrubland in SE Spain. 150 masl.

Possibly
Mintho rufiventris but it might be different in southern Europe :)

I hesitate. Pattern on thorax is not like Mintho, vertex is too broad, wings are much darkened.
I'd say Hyperaea.

Well, maybe not "rare" (Theo might know the Palaearctic distribution) but probably just restricted to warmer, southern countries :)
The Palaearctic manual says "
4 spp.; Mediterranean"

Hyperaea is indeed southern. However, I'd say means I'm not sure.
