Looks like Voriini and the eyes are hairy, which suggests Hyleorus elatus. Recent picture ?

In the Central European key it mentions that it is "rare" so that's a good sighting :) We don't get them in England so I have never seen one but maybe Theo could give some background to this species from his personal experiences? :)

Well, it is uncommon but not rare.
And often seen in malaisetraps.
I have 75 records in total for the Netherlands.
Still, a respectable record, I agree.
