Hello!

I think, wing venation excludes Anthomyiidae, but also Tachinidae. Is this 5 mm fly from July-13 (northwest Germany) a Muscid?

Yes, a muscid. I'm quite sure it's a male Morellia aenescens (by the strongly bent hind tibiae, fore tibiae with posterior seta, rather dark scutum, frons width etc.). And they are abundant at this moment.

Many thanks! I did not think that this one could be identified to species level (poor photos).
