Another fly found at the edge of a swamp area in Hong Kong.
Can it be classified to family level?
About 1.x cm

Tachinidae. Resembles Cylindromyia but this is Oriental stuff. Maybe Chris can tell more but I guess you'll have to wait for Theo for something possibly more definite.

A quick skim through "A taxonomic conspectus of the Tachinidae (Diptera) of the oriental region" (Crosskey, 1976) would suggest that this is a Cylindromyia sp. ... I can't see if it has palps or not but vein-m does seem to have a petiole and the cylindrical body drops it neatly into Cylindromyia :)
