Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Anthomyiidae with prey

Dear forum,
Today I found this Anthomyiidae (correct?) which caught a mosquito. Can it be further identified (The Antho I mean, I would be highly surprised if someone could identify the mosquito from this picture)?

Hydrophoria sp. Hydrophoria lancifer Harris is a well known predator of small flies (including Simuliidae), this photo shows the tibia are dark, so perhaps it might be H. annulata Pandell

Niek - the prey has the wing venation of a limoniid cranefly, rather than a mosquito.
