Hello,

I am leaning towards Phaonia tuguriorum for this specimen. What do you think?

Your image does not exclude P. scutellata.

Thank you for your reply.

I read that, for Phaonia scutellata, the ratio between the interocular distance and the head width is about 1/3. The angle of the photo may not be ideal for this kind of measurement, but I obtain 0.432.

It also seems that P. scutellata is a rare species in our region.

Would you recommend leaving it as Phaonia sp., or could it be treated as Phaonia tuguriorum probable?

I would file it as Phaonia sp. (the 1/3 rule is unknown to me).
