Hi all,

this fly was caught in marine dunes near Perpignan in mediterranean France. The fly looks very peculiar with a typical head profile with short antennae and enlarged and flattened hind tibia but somehow i get lost in the Oosterbroek family key.
I can only take some phone pics through the bino so try to describe some features.
It has 4 frontals of which the lower 2 larger and pointing inwards, it has 3 rows of interfrontals of which the lower row (above the antennae) consists of 4 bristles, the 2 upper ones of 2 bristles. It has clear Oc's and inwards pointing P-bristles. It has clear inner and outer vertical bristles. It has a clear vibrisse and a row of small bristles along the lower edge of the genae. The antennae are very short, the arista seems bare.

Could it be Leptometopa, Milichiidae?

Thanks for the confirmation, dear Jan |t. Do you (or anyone) know if there are keys available for France? I only find Seguy, 1928 (faune de france, 28) for the region but I don't know how up to date that one is (part of the genus is in the genus Hypaspistomya in that work).
