Hello,
I took this photo on June 20, 2023, in our garden in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, while visiting the flowers of opium poppy.
Is this
Syrphus vitripennis?

Male is a bit tricky, but if you look at your uncompressed original photo and verify that the hairs on the upper side of the hind femur's tip are yellow, it's very likely
S. vitripennis.
