Hello everyone!
Could this be Syritta pipiens?
It seemed too big to me. The yellow spots on the abdomen appeared too small.
Size: over 10 mm (estimated)
Date found: January 8, 2026
Habitat: Herbaceous plants between coastal rocks and road
Location: near Los Silos, Tenerife

No doubt,
Syritta pipiens female. Should have better be placed in the Syrphidae subforum.
