Have a nice Day. One Question please. Is it possible to at least determine the genus of this Conopidae species? I would be very grateful for an answer.
Location data: Austria, Lower Austria, Tattendorf, 220m, garden, 15.8.2017
Kind regards Karl.

Looks like a fairly normal Ph. vittata to me.

I do not dare to choose between vittata or my favourite chrysorrhoea (silver stripe on thorax or not...? )

I do not see the silver stripe, but it may just be due to the angle of view.

A god Day Eric and Prios. Thank you for the Answer. I will stick with Physocephala sp. since the image is blurry.
Although a silvery area is visible at the lower edge of the thorax, is it the dominant silvery stripe?
Kind regards Karl.
