Tachinidae_Athrycia cf. (male) is the correct name? Slovak Republic, Malá Fatra, approximately altitude cca 500 m a. s. l. Thank you very much for your help. Best regards. Fote date: 04. 09. 2025.

Yes, looks good for Athrycia - and it could be a male A. trepida, but Sptember is too late, I think. (looks quite wrecked - maybe it has survived since mid July)

So A. curvinervis makes more sense, I guess.

Thanks Theo - I missed for curvinervis the yellowish or golden yellow dusting and thought the arista is thickened beyond half-length? Otherwise the 2 downward curved bristles on the cheeks as well as the date vote against trepida...

The bristles on parafacial strongly suggest curvinervis, as does the date.
The arista, yes, I was in doubt as well, it is difficult to judge (for me) from these pics. I'd say the thickened part it too short for trepida and too long for curvinernis, so working theory is we can't see all of the aristal apex.

In any case, trepida in september is no-go, unless climate change messes up everything.
