Hi everyone!

Do I have Tabanus glaucopis here? (female is clear)

3 eye bands, no hairs to be found on the eyes (10x magnification under microscope), subcallus glossy black, calli separated and equally wide.

2 out of 3 collected specimens including the one on the pictures 18 mm long, the third one 15.

Open area: no (forest, partially not very dense, with some forest roads through it). Limestone: yes.

8.8.2025, Austria, Zell am See District, near Lofer, western slope of "Reiter Alpe", about 910 m a.s.l., coordinates roughly 47.61848,12.76116
