Hi,
this Ephydridae is of a small size: 1.5 mm . Moreover, Lemna are presents on our ponds. However, this Hydrellia was observed on Nymphaea . Is-it Hydrellia albilabris ? All my thanks for you reply.

H. albilabris has a black, shining dorsum, with very little dusting. It also has a dense black frons, so I don't think this is albiabris. The best way of identifying Hydrellia is to dissect a male.
