But, alas, the genus is not small and I understand there are very similar species in the Mditerranean area.

How is it possibale to confirm Platystoma seminationis? I have more photos so maybe another view will do it. B)

Platystoma seminationis is quite variable, and indeed five varieties are listed distinct from the nominal species. Judging from the degree of spotting visible (note particularly cell r4+5), I suggest this is Platystoma seminationis valachiae.

Whether or not these varieties should be raised to full species rank, or remain subject to Platystoma seminationis is a matter for the next revision of the genus.
