9. July 2025 in our garden in Rheinbach near Bonn/Germany, 210m above sea level, huge forest close by. about 5mm, stretched out it might be 7mm. Only one suitable photo. ID possible? Thank you for your help, Jörg

From what I see: T. atra group.

Thank you Eric! Since I was very curious and many of my posts here have not been answered lately, I also posted it on Facebook diptera. David Clements also assumed T. atra!

Could you please be so kind to have a look at https://diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=115724 where I suspect a Physocephala vittata - I would care for your opinion on this fly as well!
