this fly was about 3-4mm,
found in Germany, Northrhine-Westfalia, Recklinghausen, 8. 7. 2025

I think it's a female Platypalpus sp. (cf. agilis)
From Paul's key:
Eyes at least very narrowly separated on frons. Wings with more or less developed axillary lobe, not conspicuously broader at tip. Legs usually more or less thickeend on anterior four femora and often with special raptorial modifications. - 7

7a Eyes at least very narrowly separated on facial part below antennae. Humeri not conspicuously large. Mid femora usually thickened; mid tibiae either with or without apical spur. - Platypalpus Macquart, 1827
