Hello,

I photographed this fly in the Lecceta di Torino di Sangro Nature Reserve (CH), Italy, 60m a.s.l. on October 17th 2024. I think it is a Drosophilidae, but is it possible to identify its genus or species based on these photos?

Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

I think it is Hirtodrosophila cameraria, common in Italy.

I think this is Drosophila testacea. I think I can see the pre-sutural hairs, and to me the overall shape looks wrong for H. cameraria.

Yes, now I recognize the presutural acrostichals. D. testacea is correct. The darkening of medioapical pert of mesonotum indeed resembles that of H.cameraria, but it is not so important.
