Hello all, i have a small diptera in this quite diry Burmese amber.
The preservation is quite nice, but Dipteras are really hard for me to ID.

Can someone give a guess on it?

Thank you.

Only guess as a start of discussion. May be Hybotidae?

Yes, it looks like Tachydromiinae.

Hey Oiotoshi,

Nice specimen! It might be a small family like Ceratopogonidae or Chloropidae, but it’s hard to be sure without clearer views of the wings or antennae. A higher-res or different-angle photo could help with ID. Either way, it’s a beautiful piece!

Sorry, but unfortunately, not Chloropidae... Antennae and the wing venation exclude at once Chloropidae ... If you know when the hosts of Chloropid flies evolved, you wouldn't write such words ...
