This is definitely a species of Celyphus (Celyphus). As odd as these flies are, their identification is rarely possible with a photograph (perhaps with the exception of Celyphus (Paracelyphus) hyacinthus!). This one is consistent with either C. signatus or C. obtectus - but it could be a different species as well!

I want to see Celyphidae flies. :) Nikita, can you report some interesting ethology of this celyphid? B)

1. thank you Steve.
2. Jorge, it seems to me rather useless to observe seriosly ethology of fly of unknown species (as Celyphidae are for me so far with exclusion of C.hyacinthus). And it isn't easy to observe Lauxaniidae-like flies - they sit on leaf and do nothing for hours.

Indeed, it is Celyphus (Celyphus) signatus Karsch
