TschorsnigĀ“s key says: "Legs totally yellow". There are numerous Dexiosoma caninum where I live, none of them have totally yellow legs. At least tarsus is dark brownish. Is the key wrong or am I thinking wrong?

You are right. There is a weird tendency to say 'legs' when 'femora and tibiae' are meant. Yellow femora are generally uncommon in Tachinidae. Theo |
