Found by pine woodlands yesterday evening. I am puzzled. The bristles on the abdomen might be of a Tachinid (Macquartia bristles, for example (?)) but the general looks and venation looks much closer to a Calliphoridae. However I cannot think of any Calliphorid looking like this. Any ideas? I am completely lost Thanks for wahtever help! Unless someone has a better idea, how about a very worn Pollenia male?
